Office Policy

As COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and most legal restrictions have now been lifted at step 4, and many people have been vaccinated, it is still possible to catch and spread COVID-19, even if you are fully vaccinated, and we are still in the third wave of this pandemic in the UK. COVID-19 will be a feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, so we need to learn to live with it and manage the risk to ourselves and others. We have listened to our clients and colleagues and we know a lot of people will remain cautious. In line with government advice to act carefully, we feel it’s important to continue with certain safety measures to be on the safe side.

As you can appreciate in our modern world plenty of tasks can now be carried out via e-mail, post and telephone and for your safety would urge you to consider whether you actually need to visit one of our offices in person. We will continue with the offices being open but on a strict appointment only basis. This means that you will only be allowed into the office with an appointment time for things such as dropping off and picking up keys. Wherever possible, we try to minimise foot flow into our offices by signing paperwork via email for buyers/tenants and vendors/landlords. For identification and finance checks, if required, you will be requested to visit the specified branch at a given date and time, if this can’t be done remotely or at your property. Please call your nearest office to check that the reason for your visit is absolutely necessary.

On arrival at the office please check before entering to see if another client is already present and if you are not able to keep at least 2 meters apart wait outside until they have left the office. Screens will be provided between our staff and clients as a preventative measure and again we urge you to socially distance yourself at least 2 meters away.  Where possible we will place barriers or floor markings to keep you at a safe distance and hand sanitiser will be provided as a further safeguard for you and our staff to use. Our offices are well ventilated and cleaned at various times throughout the day. If you are with people that do not need to enter the office please ask them to wait outside.
